There are two types of outsourcing, Onshore and Offshore. Onshore Outsourcing could include hiring a local bookkeeper, accountant or HR firm to manage various aspects of your business, in a manner which is more cost effective than hiring that person directly by the company. Offshore outsourcing is very similar to onshore outsourcing, except that the staff members are overseas and are performing business functions in a country other than the one where the products or services are delivered.
There has been a negative stigma associated with outsourcing or offshoring, but the critics don’t realise that in many businesses the outsourcing function helps reduce costs which in turn helps fund jobs in other parts of the business which require customer facing activities that can’t be outsourced,
